Each entry costs £20 and will enter you into one calendar year of monthly draws. The first draw was held on 1st September 2023. Payment to be made by credit card or BACS. You can join at any time. Payment and information to be received by no later than the 1st of the month preceding each draw.

Purpose

The purpose of the 200 Lottery is to raise funds to renovate the Congerstone Village Hall. The old red brick barn needs complete refurbishment, and the old rear extension will be demolished, and a new hall erected. 

By joining the 200 Lottery you will help to ensure that the Congerstone Village Hall continues to provide a resource for the community, as well as giving you a chance to win cash awards every month. The Congerstone Village Hall 200 Lottery is a small Lottery and is open to all residents in the Gopsall Villages, their families, and friends. You are invited to join and will be allocated one or more numbers which are not transferrable.

 Rules of the 200 Lottery

1.     You must be aged 16 years or over to join.

2.     An application form must be completed

3.     For an annual cost of £20, you will be allocated one number between 3001 and 3300

4.     You may have more than one number in the draw

5.     The prize fund will be 15% of the net income (after deduction of any charges).

6.     The prizes will be a maximum of £25 (1st prize), £15 (2nd prize) and £10 (3rd prize).

7.     The Club may operate with more than 200 participants if the Lottery is oversubscribed. There will be additional prizes funded by donations.

8.     A register will be kept recording the name and contact details of each member, the number(s) allocated and the subscriptions received.

9.     The draw will be made each month by a member of the Congerstone Village Hall Management Committee in the presence of an independent witness.

10.   The result will be posted on media linked to Congerstone Village Hall, including the Congerstone Village Hall notice board and website.

11.   1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners will be contacted directly and will need to provide their bank details in order to receive their prize.

12.   Unless otherwise advised, a member will be deemed to have left the 200 Lottery if their subscription renewal remains unpaid for one month.

13.   Under no circumstances can any payments be refunded.

14.   Any decision to wind up the 200 Lottery will be by one month’s written notice.

15.   If a winner cannot be contacted, their winnings will be placed into the Congerstone Village Hall renovation fund after six months.
